My Writing

English has never been my strongest subject. My formal writing has struggled a little bit too. Freshman year I wrote how I talked. Now I have come to realize that it doesn't sound very good, especially for formal writing. Also freshamn year it was hard for me to organize my thoughts. I knew what I wanted to say, but I didn't know how to explain it on paper. I think many people struggle with grammar and punctuation, and I am definetly one of them. Last year I started reading a lot more, so my vocabulary has gotten a lot better and I think that has helped out a lot. As of rght now, the thing I need work on right now would be my thesis statements and my sentences. Howeveer, this year I really hope to change that.

My Hero

Family is a big part of my life and I do not know where or who I would be without them today. The one that would probably be the most important to me and who I would call my hero, would be my grandma. She is living a long and happy life. Throughout the years she has taught me that to have greatness in your life, you have to earn it. This is exactly what she did because in her early years she went through some tough times but she eventually overcame them. She worked all her life, found a husband, and made a family. Now she is happily retired and comes to see my family and I whenever she can. Other than this she has taught many other things that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. We are very close and I do not know what I would do without her. I look up to my grandma and she influences me in many ways and she does not even know it.

Welcome to Megan's blog. I am in 11th grade. My biggest fears are snakes and sharks. I am afraid of snakes because when i was little, my brother threw a snake with it's head cut off at me. I cried a lot. I am afraid of sharks because one year in Florida my uncle caught a really big one on the pier, and it scared me a lot. I enjoy playing volleyball and I want to be a teacher when I grow up. My favorite place to be is on the beach in Navarre, Florida. My family and I go every year and I love it!
